ASUS, a well-known company of peripherals and components for PCs, announces TUF Gaming VG259QM and VG279QM, gaming monitors with a refresh rate of up to 280Hz in FHD (1920 x 1080). Together with the two TUF monitors, the ROG Strix XG279Q was also unveiled, a 27-inch gaming monitor with WQHD resolution (2560 X 1440) and refresh rate at 170Hz.
The three new monitors use ASUS FastIPS technology to achieve a response time of just 1ms, boast a contrast of 1000: 1, and thanks to ASUS Extreme Low Motion Blur Sync (ELMB) eliminate ghosting and other visual artifacts.
ASUS FastIPS technology takes advantage of faster speed from liquid crystals. This allows the VG279QM, VG259QM and XG279Q monitors to achieve 1ms of true gray-to-gray (GTG) response, have sharper colors, better image quality and eliminate display errors.
The TUF Gaming VG279QM and VG259QM monitors cover 99% sRGB color space, while ROG Strix XG279Q offers 3% DCI-P95 color space coverage. All three displays offer 1000: 1 contrast with a 178 ° viewing angle.
