There are four colored gems in Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time, the official sequel developed by Toys For Bob: red, green, blu e yellow. Finding them is a challenge, because unlike the previous chapters they are not marked at the door of the level. There are very few clues to find the four gems, which not only have the function of completeness, but also that of unlocking alternative paths in various levels - the only way to collect all the chests in some - together with the hidden gem of Toxic Tunnels.
This guide stems from the objective difficulty of finding the gems in this chapter and to avoid unnecessary searches. So here it is how to find all colored gems in Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time.
The red gem
The red gem is located in the N. Sanity Peak level (N. Sanity Peak in English). It is the same level where Crash discovers Lani-Loli, the first quantum mask.
To make the gem appear red you must follow the path that leads to Lani-Loli in a certain order. Starting from the lower left platform (the one with a box) you have to jump to each platform in the following order: Right, right (box), forward (box "?"), Forward (TNT), left, left (TNT), down (box “?”), right. With this combination you will get to the power plant, and the gem will appear in front of the mask. The trophy connected to the red gem is Ruby Red.
The green gem
The green gem it is found in the Traveling level (Hit the Road in English). It is the level just before N. Gin which involves chasing a truck.
It is a very curious gem: it is found during a moment's break from the truck. There's a garbage can next to a checkpoint and a Nitro further up. All you have to do is spin the bin and wait for one of the two toy cars to land on the Nitro, revealing the green gem. The trophy connected to the green gem is the bold Emerald.
The blue gem
The blue gem it is in the Imbalance layer (Draggin 'On in English). It is the level just before the fight with N. Brio.
It is certainly the most difficult gem to conquer: as indicated by a drawing on a column at the end of the level, in order for the blue gem to appear it will be necessary finish the level without breaking the crates, not even those of checkpoints or TNTs. A few tips: avoid the enchanted stone lions altogether and use the bonus as a checkpoint: get on the platform and without taking any chest you intentionally die. The bonus serves as a checkpoint, and does not count as cash. It will be much easier to finish the level with 'Akano, the second quantum mask. The trophy attached to the blue gem is Dizzying Sapphire.
The yellow gem
The last of the colored gems, the yellow one, it is found in the level I, You and the Bayou (Run It Bayou in English). It is the last level in the world that sees Dingodile join the group.
It is the most banal gem of the quartet: it is just at the beginning of the level. As shown in the image you will need avoid getting on the jet ski and take the path to the right, jumping over the crates and then the moving platform until you reach the group of eight crates. Above them is the yellow gem. The trophy connected to the yellow gem is Spazio al topaz.
The bonus gem
In Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time, there are no other colored gems. However, by collecting all four gems it will be possible to unlock a alternate path in the Toxic Tunnel level (Toxic Tunnels in English) in front of the door with the symbol of Cortex and the four respective colors.
It is a test of skill: you will have to overcome the path without dying and in the end you will be rewarded with the hidden gem of Toxic Tunnels.
These were the colored gems that Crash Bandicoot 4 has in store for players brave enough to want to add the precious minerals to their collection, one step closer to 106%. Hoping that the guide has been useful to you, we invite you to read our review of the game.
