EK, the European-based manufacturer of components for liquid cooling systems, is releasing a new Quantum line based on the D5 pump. These units are an update to the market proven design used in the older generation EK-XRES Revo of “pump-reservoir” combo, as the new units have double the connections. EK-Quantum products are equipped with sophisticated D-RGB LED addressable to 5V which can be controlled via the motherboard RGB control software or control unit EK-Connect which will be out soon.
The cylindrical combination "pump-reservoir”Most popular on the market of PC cooling components has been redesigned, updated and improved in every part. The top is now equipped with three connections G1 / 4 ", one of which has a pre-installed nickel-plated brass inner tube that helps prevent coolant splashing inside the tank if the top is used as an inlet. Improvements have also been implemented to reduce the chances of air being drawn into the pump, minimizing foaming of the coolant. Each of these ports can also be used to fill the system or add additional accessories (thermal probes, LED, etc.)
A special rubber damper is used to decouple the pump main body from the mounting bracket for quiet operation, free from vibration induced noise. In addition, horizontal and vertical placement is supported to facilitate tube passage possibilities. The tube itself remains unchanged, with a diameter of 60 mm. This means that they remain compatible with the previous generation of EK cylindrical tubes. The "anti vortex" insert is pre-assembled, modernized and made more discreet.
The tubular pump EK-Quantum TBE D5 combined and combined tank units are available in a total of four versions. Two height variants marked 200 and 300 representing the total height of the unit in millimeters and two material choices for each of the variants
The combined top piece houses an aesthetic ring with the Quantum appendage that acts as a diffuser for the addressable D-RGB LED below.
THEEK-Quantum Kinetic TBE it is available in both POM “acetal black” and plexi variants, both with D-RGB implementation addressable within the characteristic Quantum aesthetic ring. With the plexi versions of the combo units, the black aesthetic ring acts as a cover, completely hiding all the LEDs, while with the acetal version the white ring acts as a thin diffuser.
A strip D-RGB LED 5V 3 pin (addressable) digital is installed in these combo units which connects to the header LED a 3 pin motherboard, or it can be connected to any other D-RGB LED addressable to 3 pin 5V with supported controller. This product is compatible with all major control software D-RGB of motherboard manufacturers.
EK Quantum is available at the price of 179.90 € (with pump 200 D5) and at the price of 199.90 € (with pump 300 D5).
