Google, the world leader in online services, has partnered with the well-known leader in the field of fitness devices, Fitbit.
The Mountain View company has decided to acquire the FitBit company by 2020 for 2,1 billion dollars. Through this partnership, Google has the opportunity to invest more resources in the WearOS ecosystem and in smart-watches in general.

Google will also invest resources regarding the protection of information and personal data of users. Through this subsidiary, the US company aims to conquer the monopoly of the smart-watch market, facing big giants such as Apple, Samsung and Huawei.
