If your Amazon Echo device is unresponsive, or if you want to give it to someone else, you can reset the device.
Often i Amazon Echo devices may not respond or have problems in this case a reset of the device can solve the problem. Before proceeding with the rest, however, restart the device to see if the problem is solved.
If, on the other hand, you want to resell it or give it to someone else the factory reset is what you have to do.
How to restart Amazon Echo
To restart the device, unplug the power adapter from the back of the device or from the wall outlet. Then, plug the power supply back in.
Important: Do not reset or turn off the device if you are setting it up for the first time.

Reset Echo Dot (3rd generation)
To reset your Echo device, press and hold the key Action for 25 seconds.
Reset Echo Dot (2nd Generation)
To reset your Echo device, press and hold the Microphone Off and Volume Down buttons at the same time. Wait until the light ring turns orange (about 20 seconds).
Reset Echo Dot (1rd generation)
To reset your Echo device, use a paperclip (or similar tool) to hold down the button Restore .
Reset Echo Plus (2nd generation)
To reset your device without losing your smart home device connections, press and hold the Action key for 20 seconds. Wait for the light ring to go out and back on.
To factory reset your device, press the Volume Down and Mute button for 20 seconds. Wait for the light ring to go out and back on. By performing this procedure after the Echo Plus (2nd generation) factory reset, all previously connected Smart Home devices will need to be reset in order to be detected again.
Reset Echo (2nd generation)
To reset your Echo device, hold pressed simultaneously i buttons Microphone turned off e Volume down . Wait until the light ring turns orange (about 20 seconds)
Reset Echo Sub
To reset your Sub Eco, press and hold the button Action for 25 seconds.
