Kena: Bridge of Spirits - New details revealed

After its announcement during the PlayStation 5 event in June, the developers of Kena: Bridge of Spirits have answered 20 questions from Game Informer, revealing some new details about the game.

Starting from the setting, we have the confirmation that the game world will be a fantasy world, but with locations inspired by the real world such as Bali or Japan; and this world is not the home of Kena (pronounced Kay-nuh), but she had to travel a long time to get there.

The little creatures that will follow the protagonist are the Ruths, and will be able to move objects, perform special attacks, rebuild bridges or distract enemies. The more Kena kills her opponents, the more her Courage will increase: this will then allow us to make the most of the powers of the Ruth. Speaking of combat, Kena will be able to turn her staff into a bow, or hit with light and heavy attacks.

Ember Lab later confirmed that Kena: Bridge of Spirits will not be an open-world, and the central village will serve as a hub for visiting the different regions of the game.

The developers later reported that thanks to the PlayStation 5 they have been able to improve various graphic details such as the density of the foliage, or the possibility of showing many more elements on the screen: it will be possible to see all 100 collectible Rot on the screen at the same time

Finally, remember that Kena: Bridge of Spirits will be available at the end of 2020 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC.
