Nintendo Wii U was supposed to be the natural evolution of the award-winning Nintendo Wii. However, the launch of the console received rather mixed reactions and, in the end, it was soon shelved. There are a few reasons behind the failure of the Nintendo Wii U, but most are to be found in the lack of available software. From launch titles to third party support, Nintendo Wii U has never had many titles that can thrill gamers.
Fortunately, Nintendo has managed to get back on track with the Nintendo Switch, a hybrid console that has proven to be popular with young players and not so young. To tell you the truth, you don't think much about Nintendo Wii U these days, mostly since Nintendo dropped support for the platform after the release of The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild. Although it has been a few years since the console was abandoned, gamers may have found it a surprise to see the platform named for two more games coming from Nintendo.
These games were slated for the virtual console on the Nintendo Wii U rather than as new releases. However, the two titles listed were a couple of iconic Nintendo 64 games. The titles were Banjo-Kazooie and Blast Corps. Of the two, most would be familiar with Banjo-Kazooie, a platform title that recently saw the iconic lead duo be included in Super Smash Bros.Ultimate.
Since the list was made public, Nintendo removed the posts and sent an update saying that this was an oversight and that the games will obviously not launch on the Nintendo Wii U. Perhaps, this means that the titles were meant for Nintendo Switch. Furthermore, there are always rumors suggesting that Nintendo Switch would receive Nintendo 64 games, or potentially a Nintendo 64 emulator very similar to the Nintendo Entertainment System, And the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. However, for now they are only rumors and nothing official has come out about the Nintendo 64 or the two previously listed titles.
