Samsung Electronics introduces its second generation quad-level cell (QLC) technology-based drives, the SSd 870 QVO SATA, which will define a new standard in high-capacity consumer storage. With storage of up to eight terabytes (TB), the new SSDs offer an uncompromising mix of speed, storage capacity and reliability for mainstream and professional PC users.
In the past, consumers have had to choose between SSDs, which offer higher performance, and HDDs, which traditionally offer greater capacity. Samsung's 870 QVO SSD, however, is capable of delivering the best of both worlds, making it a great choice for both mainstream users who prioritize performance, and professional users who demand high levels of storage.
Samsung 870 QVO offers best-in-class sequential read and write speeds of up to 560MB / s and 530MB / s respectively, plus the drive's Intelligent TurboWrite technology allows you to maintain peak performance levels using a large variable SLC buffer . Samsung 870 QVO also offers a 13% increase in random read speed over the 860 QVO, making it ideal for everyday needs such as multitasking, gaming and web browsing. The revamped Data Migration and Magician 6 software provide a number of enhanced additional features, allowing users to upgrade, manage and optimize their SSDs with greater ease.
In addition to industry-leading capacity and performance, the Samsung QVO 870 delivers exceptional endurance performance of up to 2.880 terabytes written (TBW).
The 870 QVO SSDs are offered in 1TB, 2TB, 4TB and 8TB models, and will be available starting June 30, 2020 with a manufacturer's suggested retail price starting at € 158,09 for the 1TB model. For more information: samsung.com/ssd or samsungssd.com.
