2 years after the release of the base game, Capcom releases the update that promises to make Street Fighter V a full game by turning it into Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition.
If already done work with Street Fighter V, albeit slightly "bare", he had convinced our editorial team by leading us to assign a vote equal to 85/100, the Arcade Edition convinces even more: not only has Capcom maintained the technical level of the time but has also improved some aspects.
With the inclusion of the highly acclaimed Arcade mode by fans of the series in these 2 years Capcom has made Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition the best fighting 2D currently on the market bringing, at least in part, the mind of nostalgics to the long game sessions in the cabinets in which you faced one opponent after another and you were careful to insert the token within 10 seconds so as not to have to start over once achieved KO
The owners of the base game will be able to download the free update that will introduce the arcade mode, for all the others there are interesting discounts on the various online purchase platforms pending the release of the physical version of the game happy with this new mode. What was questionable was whether the new Arcade mode would be, being a single player mode, at the height of a game with the classic longevity of a fighting game, already remarkable in itself and even more so since the introduction of the online game.
The answer is yes, the new mode introduced in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition absolutely invites the player to try their hand in all its nuances to earn points and increase their fighter level, but not only that, there are 6 different paths that can be tackled, each inspired by one of the previous chapters of the series for a total of 200 different endings, in short an almost infinite number of possibilities and challenges to grapple with.
Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition does not stop at a mere addition of a game mode, but introduces much more: always talking about mode, the mode is introduced Extra Battle in which, throughout 2018, players will be able to complete timed challenges to obtain exclusive costumes and other content.
They are then introduced the the Gallery in which to unlock a large number of illustrations by playing in Arcade mode, new V-Trigger, for each character, in order to make it even more fun in gameplay, new graphic effects and finally well 12 new characters unlockable through i Fight Money (FM) which bring the roster to an impressive number of 28 playable characters.
Note of merit should also be made for the cross platform multiplayer: no distinction between those who play the basic version, who the Arcade Edition of Street Fighter V, as well as matchmaking also takes place regardless of who is played on PlayStation 4 o PC.
