Given the growing number of mobile phone plans with truly high GB quantities, many are moving towards the use of a line that relies on the LTE network, both for their main home, and to take on holiday to the hotel or in the second home so you don't have to give up the comforts of a good connection.
In this article we will go to see what, in our opinion, are the best LTE routers to take on vacation or to use inside our home.
Before starting, we advise you to read the contract of the sim you are going to buy well, because many operators offer so many GB per month, but they are often limited in terms of download speed and especially in certain time slots.
That said, the first LTE router we recommend is Huawei E5577Cs-321, a compact extractable soap router ideal to always carry in your pocket. With the press of a simple button we will be able to create a Wi-Fi network using the LTE sim connection inserted inside it. Huawei's router has a modem inside LTE Cat 4 capable of achieving a maximum download speed of 150 Mb / s and is coupled to a battery from 1.500 mAh in order to have up to 6 hours of autonomy. We also find a convenient LCD display that will allow us to view the connection status and the remaining GBs to be used. Thanks to 2,4 Ghz and 5 Ghz dual band Wi-Fi network you can connect up to 11 devices, one of which via USB. There is also a version with LTE modem with Cat 6 and 300 Mb / s download speed at a price of around 130 €.
The second router we recommend is TP-Link MR6400. It is a router in all respects ideal to be inserted inside the second home. Here we find a modem LTE Cat 4 with download speeds of 150 Mb / s and a network Wi-Fi with 2,4 Ghz frequency capable of reaching a transfer rate between devices of approx 300 Mb / s. We will be able to connect a maximum of 32 devices at the same time and, as if that were not enough, we can connect 4 more via the 100 Mb / s LAN ports. If we have another router available, we can connect it in cascade to expand our network. If the LTE signal inside our home is weak we can change the two supplied antennas with an outdoor one, so as to improve our range.

The third router we recommend is TP-Link Archer MR600. It is a router like modem LTE Cat 6 and capable of achieving a download speed of approx 300 Mb / s. Unlike the previous model, here we have a Dual Band AC Wi-Fi with a maximum transfer rate between devices of 1200 Mb / s. The four LAN ports on the back are all 1 Gb / s and one can be used as a WAN port, should we want to cascade it together with another router. Like the previous model, here too we can change the antennas in order to increase the LTE range.
TP-Link Archer MR600 can be found on Amazon at a price of about € 119,89.
The fourth router we recommend is ASUS AC53U. This is a modem router with a modem LTE Cat 6 and maximum download speed of 300 Mb / s. Here too we find a 1200 Mb / s Dual Band AC Wi-Fi. Unlike the last two models we find only two 1 Gb / s LAN ports one of which to be used as a WAN. The antennas here too can be replaced in order to improve the LTE range. Unlike the modems seen above, here we can fully manage our connection and wake up even the most performing communication channel in order to have a higher download speed at the expense of stability.

The last router we recommend is Fritz! Box 6890 by AVM. It is an extremely complete router because in addition to having a modem LTE Cat 6, we also find a modem compatible with ADS and VDSL lines, both with profile 17a and 35b. As if that were not enough, we also find the predisposition for VoIP. Thanks to this router we will never remain without a connection: if we use our VDSL line, if this does not work, the LTE line will immediately start working, so as not to waste even a minute of work. Obviously we can also use it only with our sim or with our home line. Here we find 5 1 Gb / s LAN ports, one of which is used only for WAN function. The antennas are obviously interchangeable and, just like with the Asus router, we can manage our LTE connection at will.
Being a complete router with a thousand features, AVM's FRITZ! Box 6890 can be purchased on Amazon at the price of 332 €.
