In the new chapter of Animal Crossing for Nintendo Switch, the stars have a vital purpose: raccoon Tom Nook will always ask for more to expand the house, and building bridges or ramps can soon empty an entire stellomat account given the frankly dizzying cost involved. Since life on the atoll largely revolves around money and its collection (among other things), in this guide we propose 5 ways you can get more stars, certified for more than a month spent on Animal Crossing: New Horizons island.
We will not touch on issues such as time jumps or "shady" methods, but simply habits within everyone's reach that are more profitable than others and allow us not to distort the gaming experience.
1) Selling fossils
Culture is important, but so are the stars. The island museum run by Blatero goes on to donate insects, aquatic creatures and fossil. The latter are found underground in scattered parts of the island, and it so happens that fossils are among the most profitable items in Animal Crossing, varying from 2.000 to 2.500 stars per piece.
Calculating that once the staircase and access to the upper floors of the island have been unlocked, the fossils that can be found everyday will rise from 3 to 5, you can easily get 10.000 stars in a few minutes by choosing to sell the certified fossils to Marco and Mirco rather than donating them to the museum. Blatero, in fact, will accept only one fossil of each type, after which the others can be sold to the two little tanuki with no scruples of conscience.
2) Selling insects to Ivano
Ivano is a pink chameleon with dark attitudes - and will also become one of your best friends on the island. Unfortunately, this character is not a permanent resident and he will decide to have a picnic every now and then together with his spasmodic passion for insects. Ivano will offer to buy all the insects which we will capture at a higher figure than normal. By catching butterflies like that Tiger, Rice Paper, Vanessa I and Morpho Blue you can get around 100.000 stars in about half an hour. It is in fact one of the methods we have found most fruitful.
If we talk about entomology the tarantulas they are among the most precious creatures: Tom Nook's grandchildren buy them for 8.000, so we leave you to imagine how much Ivano values them - if you are not arachnophobic. His pockets have no limits: Ivano will continue to buy insects until he leaves the next day at 5:00 in the morning. As bad as it is to say, exploiting a chameleon has never been more profitable.
3) Raid the islands (not of others)
Randomly generated island disappears, heart doesn't hurt. Didn't the proverb say so? Across the Nook miles coupon, which can be purchased for 2.000 miles, it is possible to board the plane that takes us on adifferent island on our side. This atoll is randomly generated by the game: it is therefore always different, and once you have left it is no longer possible to return to it. This means that the rules and respect for the environment are temporarily to be blessed. That's why we talked about raid as pirates of the worst kind: between the chance to find exotic fruits (which are worth about twice as much as those natives on our island) and all that nature offers, stripping the island and then reselling everything back from our trip is a great and cynical way to earn stars.
Among the many islands there is also a rich one in tarantulas, 8.000 ringing stars that walk (1.000 stars per leg, practically). Multiplying the value of a tarantula by the maximum inventory space we arrive at 320.000 bells… a figure with which it is possible to repay more than a house loan to Tom Nook without problems, luck permitting. Finally, don't forget plant the fruit to have the tree and having strange fruit always at hand - that's how it works in Animal Crossing.
4) Planting trees ... of stars
Good morning starts in the morning and the golden sparkle appears from the ground. This light that comes out from the subsoil is a harbinger of stars. Digging with the shovel, in fact, it will be possible to collect 1.000 stars from mother nature, but we want to go further, multiplying this sum by thirty. When you spot the light make sure you have it with you 10.000 bells in the inventory (just click on the star icon and choose to separate a certain amount) and plant them directly in the ground.
The hole will leave room for a tree sprout; from there it will be a matter of waiting a few days to find yourself in front of a star tree. If you have planted 10.000 bells you will get a lot back 30.000. The magic tree will lose its effectiveness and will no longer produce stars from now on, but on the island the phenomenon will repeat itself almost every day: just head towards the light, plant as much as possible and receive three times as much. A fair trade, right?
5) Sunday turnips
Le snuff are a mechanic that has always been in the Animal Crossing series, and could not skip the chapter on Nintendo Switch. Turnips have the distinction of being sold to prices that fluctuate between lows and highs. The only way to get these vegetables is to wait for them Sunday the visit of Brunella, a sow that appears from 5:00 until 12:00 in the morning with its supply of turnips. Brunella sells her turnips in blocks of 10 and at varying prices. You can buy them until they pop, that is, as long as you have space in your inventory.
