Bang & Olufsen throws itself into the gaming sector with its new Beoplay Portal headphones, dedicated to XBox players.
Through the official Xbox website, Microsoft today announced the release of the Beoplay Portal headphones. Manufactured by Bang & Olufsen, this wireless headset is aimed at offering the best possible experience both in gaming and in everyday use. Although the range of gaming headsets compatible with the consoles of the Redmond house is already wide, these stand out. The Beoplay Portal is in fact the first product of the premium line of Xbox accessories: the Designed for Xbox Limited Series.
The Beoplay Portal can already be pre-ordered in authorized stores e will be available in three colors: fog gray, anthracite black and navy blue. This headset offers the ability to control the volume and change voice chats both through touch controls on the headset itself and through the use of a dedicated application. Important is the longevity of the battery, which lasts 12 hours when connected to channels dedicated to communication with the Xbox One, Series S or Series X while it reaches 24 when connected only via Bluethooth.
Although the headphones are designed for gaming, their design is such as to easily allow more casual use. In fact, Bluethooth connectivity makes it possible to use them also from smartphones or PCs, so as to be able to take advantage of active noise cancellation in any context. The spearhead of Bang & Olufsen's product though is the dedicated application. It allows you to freely manipulate audio mix settings, choosing from various predefined settings or the one customized manually. The app is also able to recognize the use you are making of the headphones by automatically adopting preset settings.
Being part of a premium line, the aesthetic factor and ease of use are considered central. The Beoplay portals in fact use durable, lightweight and breathable materials to prevent feelings of fatigue after prolonged use. Microsoft also ensures that this product has been designed by acclaimed acoustic engineers, promoting them as offering never-before-seen immersion.
The software house also describes the role of aluminum plate present on the speakers. In addition to having a certainly pleasant visual impact, it is equipped with pressure sensors capable of detecting even light touches. Its function is to act as a touchpad to allow the user access to quick tactile inputs, for example double tapping will mute the microphone.
The future accessories of the Designed for Xbox Limited Series are not yet known, but meanwhile Beoplay Portal can already be pre-ordered for $ 499, a considerable figure but justified by the fact that it is a premium product.
