In the last few hours, Bethesda's social channels have announced a project in progress in the MachineGames studios in collaboration with Lucasfilms Games. This is the videogame version of Indiana Jones, with an original story completely unrelated to the movies.
A new Indiana Jones game with an original story is in development from our studio, @MachineGames, and will be executive produced by Todd Howard, in collaboration with @LucasfilmGames. It'll be some time before we have more to reveal, but we're very excited to share today's news!

However, Bethesda warns that "It will take some time before we have more to reveal to you, but we are very excited to share this important news with you today!" With Indiana Jones then, MachineGames departs from the narrative experience of Wolfenstein and for this reason the rumors about the development of Wolfenstein 3 are denied, or at least the rumors about the direct involvement of MachineGames.
Looking closely at the short trailer released by Bethesda, you will notice a familiar setting: on the map you can see the Sistine Chapel, and it is therefore conceivable that at least part of the adventure of the most famous treasure hunter in the world will take place in the Vatican City, or perhaps completely in Italy.
Over the next few months, therefore, we will find out what the Indiana Jones game's target platforms will be, and the launch window. In addition there is to understand what genre the title will belong to and what the main gameplay mechanics will be. Will it be centered on history or will it be pure fun?
