The other two titles in the works will also raise the bar.

A few days ago Activision held an investor conference and Daniel Alegre, Chief Operating Officer of Activision Blizzard, talked about the new games in the Diablo series, in particular Diablo IV. Blizzard currently works on three games in the series: Diablo 2: Resurrected, Diablo: Immortal and Diablo IV. According to Alegre, all the games are set up for the community of players to be pleasantly surprised.

Each game has its own goals. Diablo 2: Resurrected is set to introduce a classic game with a modern twist. In addition, it will also have the possibility to import old saves. Diablo: Immortal (vying to be released by the end of the year), aims to expand the audience of the series thanks to a new experience for mobile devices. It also ranks in the middle of the second and third installments of the series. Activision believes that the fourth installment instead "will advance the art of the action-RPG genre". Activision Blizzard noticed a positive reception during the presentation at BlizzCon in February. Since then, the development team has continued on that path making significant progress.

From what has been shown so far, the fourth chapter can be considered up to collect the legacy of the series, especially the second chapter. Many fans of this iconic saga are hoping that the developers will keep their promises and that titles will come out like Activision Blizzard itself imagines them.
