In Divinity: Original Sin II, one of Larian Studios' latest tactical RPGs, spells and power-up abilities play a major role in the combat economy. In fact, within each battle, exploiting skills such as "Encouragement" or spell as "Fortification" before a fight begins can provide a considerable advantage over opponents, especially if they are of a higher level than our party.
In the game is the ability to engage in combat with some of the characters from our party with buffs active and with the skills used to upgrade them with cooldown reset, provided that there is a dialogue before starting the fight. To make this happen you will have to enter into dialogue, or simply listen to it, with all the characters who are not responsible for strengthening the companions, thus leaving one or two party members out of the discussion. It will be up to them to launch all the skills they have on the companions involved in the dialogue: in this way the duration shifts will not scale quickly as for the characters already involved in the dialogue they are reasoned by turns and consequently they will enter combat with buffs activated and no fewer turns.
Before ending the dialogue, however, we could also buff the remaining characters and then let them enter the dialogue: in this way, however, they will not have the cooldown already reset, which instead you could do if you do not enhance them, waiting for the turns to reload the skills used to reset to then start the fight.
In short, the choice here is up to you: Divinity Original Sin 2 is a title with a monstrous depth of gameplay and consequently it is legitimate to choose among the many possible approaches.
