The various titles announced for the 35th anniversary of the brand.
Square Enix wanted to celebrate 35 years of Dragon Quest without sparing, by announcing several games. Among them, the HD 2D remake of Dragon Quest III:
The title, one of the most loved of the series, therefore returns with a graphic design similar to that of Octopath Traveler. It is no coincidence, in fact, that the remake is curated by Team Asano, the team behind the development of Octopath.
However, the Japanese development house did not give a launch window for the title, just talking about a simultaneous worldwide release.
The announcements, however, do not end there. There is also room for Dragon Quest X Offline.
The title will be modified and adapted for offline play, thus radically changing the very structure of the original, as it was intended for online play.
The title will arrive in Japan in the course of 2022. However, there is no news about a western release.
Dragon Quest Keshi Keshi, another game announced, will instead be a puzzle game for mobile devices coming out this year in the land of the Rising Sun.
The game will arrive in the west but no launch window has been given.
Penultimate title announced, Dragon Quest Treasures, role-playing game starring Erik and Mia from Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of a Lost Age.
As with some previous games, we have no release date or target platform type.
Finally, the most anticipated title: Dragon Quest XII. If you are curious about the twelfth chapter of the series, we refer you to our article dedicated exclusively to this announcement.
