On the occasion of Hitman 2's triumphal entry into the PlayStation Now roster this month, we bring you an essential guide to combat in the IO Interactive title. This chapter of the saga will lead you to assassinate targets in various parts of the world: the United States, Colombia or Mumbai. With each mission, Agent 47 will have to eliminate more and more targets. You can do this using your own plan or following a predefined way.
The game offers many options and various ways to complete complementary missions and challenges.
Our Agent 47 obviously has the possibility to emerge victorious from every fight, preferably with an exhaustive guide to plot the right path in Hitman 2:
- Hand-to-hand combat makes noise: expect someone who will come looking for the body;
- The only way to kill someone in silence is to strangle them from behind;
- A defeated enemy is rendered unconscious but can get up again if anyone finds him;
- You can pretend to surrender to an opponent who approaches with a weapon (the game will inform you of this option). Holding the right button down Agent 47 will automatically attack that enemy when it gets too close;
- When you are fighting with a guard, you must take him out while he is on the ground, otherwise he will get back up;
- If you take out enemies using your fists or blunt weapons their clothing will not be damaged. Firearms, explosives, or sharp objects damage your clothing by tracing your passage;
- Almost any item that Agent 47 carries can be used as a weaponbe it a screwdriver, a crowbar or a frying pan. Sharp objects are deadly, but throwing and attacking enemies with various objects also makes some noise;
- Agent 47 is quick enough to knock out two guards standing next to each other using a blunt weapon, but one of the enemies will recognize your face. Once the action is finished then well hide the body of the unconscious.
Hitman 2 - Guide: combat and Instinct
Agent 47 can also use a special ability called Instinct which allows you to:
- Look at the enemies through the walls perceiving that some can be very suspicious of you depending on the situation, the position you are in, or if you are armed (you will see dots on the heads);
- Visualize items, from weapons to small keys. They are marked in gold and you will only see those that are not blocked by anything else.
Use theInstinct as often as possible, especially before taking an action that can bring you out. Hitman 2 also provides numerous possibilities of disguise, which are the key to success. They provide safety in certain areas and some of these costumes also allow for special activities. You usually have to do some extra work to get them, but it's always worth it.
