If you want to change your credit card associated with your Netflix account or the payment method, the process is very simple and can be done in a few steps by logging into your account.
Change Netflix payment method
The web browser
- Go to the Netflix page from your browser and log in with your credentials.
- Go to your avatar at the top right (the square with the down arrow) and click on it.
- Here select Account.
- In the Subscription and Billing you will see the credit card currently used to pay for your Netflix subscription. To change your card details on Update payment information.
- Now in the tab that opens you can update the current payment method. (This usually happens when the card is expiring and a new one is delivered to you, as it has the same number but changes the CVV.)
- If you want to add a new payment method you will need to select Change Payment Method up. You will then be directed to the page to add a new credit card or associate your Paypal account to pay for your subscription. Select the one you want to add.
- Once done, enter the new card or PayPal account details and save the changes.
- Done now the new payment method has been set up on your Netflix account.
That app is a smartphone and tablet
To change the payment method on Netflix and update or change your credit card details, the procedure is the same as you will be redirected to the Netflix web page of your account even if you act from its mobile application. However, here is the procedure to follow.
- Open the Netflix app
- Select More at the bottom right (the three horizontal lines)
- Once the menu is open, select Account.
- Now the app will open the web page of your Netflix account automatically.
- Here press on the item Update payment information.
