La Supreme Light Sword, usable only by the Hero, is the most powerful sword in Dragon Quest XI, so it could be tempting if you want to defeat the final boss of the post game. All the more so if you take into account the fact that forging it will also yield you a Bronze trophy.
NB: the guide is almost entirely spoiler free, but it may contain minor spoilers, so it is still advisable to read it after having seen the credits.
First of all, you will need to get the recipe "The supreme secrets of the Sword of Light". To do this, you must pass at least one of Trystan's tests. At this point, you can choose a reward: bet on the first without worrying about the others, because Dragon Quest XI will still allow you to get them later.
To forge the sword you will need:
- the Sword of Light;
- the Sovereign Sword;
- two units of Cremisite;
- two Hyper gems of evolution
- two Spectrolytes.
To forge another Sword of Light, you will have to reopen the forge of Mount Huji and acquire a suitable hammer. The latter is obviously located in Gallipolis, but in this timeline you will earn it by winning the platinum race in easy mode. As for the key to the forge, it will be given to you by the priestess of Kaldoh once you have solved her problem. Take advantage of this to sell Orichalcum (found at the Battlefield) to the blacksmith (don't go into the shop to sell it; talk to the blacksmith outside), so you can return to him later to buy the Sovereign Sword priced at 70000 coins.
La Cremisite it is distilled by the witch Krystalinda of Gelheim from the Serpent Soul, in possession of many enemies (Night Bludgeon Crudelis, Northern Serpent Crudelis, Aurora Serpent Crudelis and so on). L'Hyper gem of evolution is dropped by Coralbestia, Piovrazilla, Fenice (cheaper mob, in my opinion) and others. The Spectrolitefinally, it can be obtained at the Casino of Valor, at the Isle of Trials and in the Ferocious Forest, as well as from various monsters (among which D-5TRU and the Dragoyote stand out).
All three materials can be purchased in exchange for mini medals at the Medal Academy once the mini medal album (which requires 110) is complete.
