The most important resource in Horizon: Zero Dawn they are undoubtedly i Metal Fragments. Useful both as a bargaining chip and as a material in the creation of objects, weapons and ammunition, surely you will never have enough. There aren't many ways to get them but in this guide we will list them all.
The main methods are 3:
- From the merchants: The game is full of valuables that have no use other than to be sold to merchants. Check your inventory carefully and sell any such item without regret. Another thing you can do from the merchant is to “buy” the treasure boxes. These chests are free and are located at the bottom of the purchase tab. Inside you will find useful materials for crafting and of course also the Metal Shards.
- From enemies: We know that the temptation to roam freely is great, but it is equally important to annihilate any machine that comes in front of you. In addition to offering a good amount of experience, the mechs will also guarantee a lot of Metal Fragments. So less exploration and more beating.
- From the cash desks: The entire game map is littered with supply crates. Keep your eyes sharp and don't miss a single one as inside you will find many useful items, including Shards.
Important: Acquire the Scavenger skill as soon as possible which will increase the number of items you will get by killing enemies and opening the chests, naturally also increasing the number of Metal Shards
