Super Mario Galaxy is one of the few 3D games of the famous plumber that allows us to use his famous brother Luigi. However, getting the chance to play Super Luigi Galaxy isn't easy. Instead, it is one of the most difficult objectives in the game, surpassed only by having to finish the game using the green plumber and the final challenge level. Thanks to the long-awaited Super Mario 3D All Stars collection for Nintendo Switch, many are rediscovering what is probably one of the best (if not the best) adventures of the Nintendo icon. What better time to talk about this little secret then. For anyone who does not know how to do this, we will see this short guide how to unlock Luigi in Super Mario Galaxy
After finishing the game, Rosalind will put a countdown indicating the total missing stars. In total, the stars are, as per tradition, the classic 120. In order to unlock Luigi in Super Mario Galaxy, the first step will be to get every single star. Once you have reached 120 superstars, you will have to defeat the final boss again. Once the credits are over, Luigi will be unlocked, and with him will start “Super Luigi Galaxy”, a subspecies of New Game + where you can replay the title with Mario's brother, to collect 120 more stars and thus be able to face the last level.
Unlike Mario, Luigi has some peculiarities in his style of play. He will be able to jump higher and move faster, but will be harder to control and will lose his breath more easily when underwater. With its inclusion Super Mario Galaxy boasts a total of 241 collectible superstars.
