Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity was announced as a surprise for Nintendo Switch. Along with the announcement, a full-bodied trailer was published in which the release date of the title is announced, that is 20 November.
This new chapter of Hyrule Warriors belongs to the genre Mosou and although this game is similar to the previous one Hyrule Warriors released on Wii U and later remastered on Nintendo Switch, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity seeks to differentiate itself with strong ties to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Indeed, this new chapter of Hyrule Warriors others is just a prequel to the events of Breath of The Wildtherefore, 100 years before Link woke up.
We will then discover the details of the epic clash between the kingdom of Hyrule and the Calamity Ganon and for these reasons, the development team opted for cel-shaded graphics like the one used for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The title will allow us to play as Link, Zelda and the Four Champions, each of them will be equipped with different abilities and characteristics, guaranteeing a good dose of fun in approaching the different types of combat.
Nintendo confirms that it is intensively pursuing development of the long-awaited sequel to Breath of The Wild, but for now, you can pass the wait with this new Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.
