We finally have a certain date: Mass Effect Legendary Edition will be joining us very soon.
This legendary version will contain the first three chapters of the series, remastered for the occasion and brought to new light through a complete graphic overhaul, aiming at the 4K HDR and the implementation of heavily modernized textures, as well as by means of a whole series of small, large ones improvements that will contribute to increasing the quality of life underlying the entire play experience.
Mass Effect Legendary Edition will be available for PC via Origin and Steam, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One starting next May 14th, obviously ensuring full compatibility with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S | X, and will be inclusive of over 40 DLCs distributed throughout the course of the Commander Shepard trilogy.
Among the other cosmetic embellishments implemented, we point out improved shaders, updated lighting and dynamic shadows. A fine work that has also had an impact on cinematic sequences, which should have been significantly enhanced.
A lot of work also at the user interface level, especially in the context of the very first Mass Effect, which was actually quite crude in this respect. The improvements will also involve your character creation system.
