The MediEvil PlayStation 4 remake contains 39 trophies of which only one is missing (see "Stop Hurting Yourself!"). For the rest getting the game trophies will be pretty simple and just a handful of these will require a little more extra effort. This makes Medievil a pretty easy title to platinum to the delight of completists, trophy hunters or just fans of Sir Daniel Fortesque.
- Sir Pocketful: Collect 10.000 gold coins.
As per the description of the trophy you will have to collect 10 thousand coins. Collect, do not accumulate, so you can spend without having to economize. This trophy will be unlocked smoothly as you run through the campaign.
- Old school: Try to insert any cheat from the original game.
Dust off your old paper guides and enter one of the cheats of the PS1 version of the game. Or, after pausing, hold L2 and press Down, Square, Triangle, Circle, Down, Up, Square, Triangle.
- Drive recklessly: Defeat both mechanical imps and their insufferable pilots.
The demons to beat are found in the level "The fields of scarecrows" and they must be defeated. It is impossible to miss this trophy.
- Dan, master of arms: Get all weapons.
You will need to get all 19 weapons in the game. These also include the weapons that you will receive in the “Hall of Heroes” by finding the goblets. Otherwise you should be able to unlock this trophy by playing the campaign.
- Whirling destroyer: Defeat 30 enemies using the spinning slash.
Just kill 30 enemies with the spinning slash. To make this move just hold down the circle button.
- Chicken is the answer: Throw 42 chicken legs.
After obtaining the "Witch Talisman" use it near the witch that you will find in the level "The enchanted land". This will shrink you until you enter the optional anthill level. Once completed you will be rewarded with 30 chicken legs that you can equip as a weapon and throw. To get the trophy you will then have to finish the level of the ants twice.
- The familiar of the witches: Obtain the Witch's Talisman and complete both witches' missions.
The "Talisman of the Witches" can be found in the cave of the witches of the level "The hill of the cemetery". Use it in the “Enchanted Land” level near the witch you meet (as explained in the “Chicken is the Answer” trophy) and twice near the cauldron in the “Pumpkin Serpent” level after you defeat the boss.
- Crunchy demons: Fry a dozen imps with the Lightning Bolt.
Once you have obtained the Lightning bolt weapon in the "Hall of Heroes", use it to defeat 12 imps. One level where these enemies are particularly numerous is "The mausoleum at the top of the hill"
- Give it back!: Retrieve a stolen weapon from an imp.
Speaking of imps, to get this trophy you will have to have one of them steal a weapon and recover it. It is very likely that you will unlock this trophy during the run of the game.
- Being crazy is not a fault: Don't hurt the crazy family.
Do not hurt any of the inhabitants of the “The Sleeping Village” level.
- A thousand ways to die ... or almost: Die in seven different ways.
The ways to make Game Over appear in Medievil are well over seven. You will likely unlock this trophy on the first run, if not, just use a bit of macabre creativity.
- Addicted to potions: Drink 32 vials of energy.
Recharge your life energy 32 times with a green vial. You will also get this trophy during the main adventure without major problems.
- Now with 50% more magic!: Enchant the Greatsword.
Buy the upgrade from a merchant after obtaining the Greatsword.
- Arms stolen from agriculture: Kill something using your arm.
Take down a random enemy using only your arm as a weapon.
- Falling rocks: Avoid all the rolling boulders on the cemetery hill.
On the way up the cemetery hill, never get hit by rolling boulders.
- Colonel Fortesque's recipe: Turn an enemy into a roast chicken and eat it.
To make the transformation you have to hit an opponent with a chicken leg (see the “Chicken is the Answer” trophy for how to get the legs). After that eat it.
- Arm wrestling: Defeat the Stained Glass Demon using only your arm.
Just equip your arm as a weapon, dodge the boss's attacks and hit him in the heart. The challenge will be longer than difficult.
- Totally disrespectful: Destroy 100 tombstones.
Go to one of the graveyard levels and destroy 100 tombstones.
- I just wanted to help out!: Crushes a severed hand.
When you get the club or the hammer, smash one of the hands hanging around the cemetery levels.
- The walls can't stop me: Go back to Sir Dan's crypt and destroy the secret wall.
When you get the club or the hammer go back to the very first level of the game and knock down the lighter colored wall compared to the other.
- Pyromaniac: Set 50 enemies on fire.
Burn 50 enemies using "dragon armor" obtainable in the “Crystal Caves” level.
- Stop hurting yourself!: Get hit by a crystal during the battle with the dragon in the Crystal Caves.
Attention, this is the only one of the Medievil trophies to be missing: the dragon boss fight in the "Crystal Caves" is in fact not repeatable once you have finished it. To get this trophy you will have to hit yourself with a crystal that you have dropped from the ceiling.
