Minecraft: Dungeons it was recently released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, and after having talked about it in depth in our review, this time we want to help you in the mechanics of enchantments. This is an essential system to be able to facilitate your progress in the different game areas and defeat the strongest enemies, this, moreover, in a similar way with what happens in Minecraft, although the whole system works in a different way.
To be able to enchant an item in Minecraft Dungeon you must first obtain an "enchantment point", this will happen every time you level up. After that you will need to go to the item screen and, in the lower right corner, you will find three slots. One of these (or more rarely two or even all) will present the possibility of inserting an enchantment: be careful though, not all objects will be able to use every type! In fact, for each object you can select some enchantments designated randomly by the game.
Having said that, a dilemma spontaneously arises in everyone: wouldn't it be better to keep all these points and then exploit them in a weapon or equipment that we know we can use even in the most advanced levels? The answer is no, for the simple reason that all the points spent to enchant an item can be recovered at any time simply by recycling it.. Therefore we advise you to freely spend all these enchantment points in order to make the most of this mechanic even in the early stages of the game.
Finally, it should be noted that In Minecraft Dungeons, enchantments have a maximum of three levels, to upgrade one to the maximum it will be necessary to invest a total of six points: one for level 1, two for level 2 and three for level 3. For these reasons described so far it seems obvious to consider this whole system extremely important to the point of making you prefer the choice, for example, of a weapon with more magic slots but reduced damage to one with higher damage but with only one slot.. Let's move on to analyze all the best enchantments and, immediately after, their complete list:
- Sharpness: Essential for increasing the percentage of damage dealt.
- Vortex: Converts the last attack of a combo into a hit with greater range and increased damage; it is extremely useful when combined with small and fast weapons, which thus become able to handle a greater number of enemies at the same time.
- Conduit of the soul: Usually associated with weapons capable of absorbing souls; regenerates an amount of health for each soul obtained and is particularly good against large groups of enemies.
- Accelerate: Important, if not essential, for ranged weapons as it increases their rate of fire to help you deal with larger groups or deal more damage per second.
- Electrifying: Deals damage with dodges, so you can deal damage even without attacking.
- Thorns: For each attack suffered, it reflects a percentage to the enemy who hit you.
- Potion Barrier: Extremely good, especially against bosses or enemies that can inflict a lot of damage, because it consistently reduces the damage taken for a few seconds after drinking a healing potion; this way you can attack repeatedly without worrying too much about your health.
- Snowballs: Common but also too powerful, it makes your opponents throw snowballs and leave them stunned (at maximum level one is thrown every second!).
These were the most powerful enchantments of Minecraft Dungeons but, of course, there are many others that can turn out to be more or less useful depending on the circumstances; below you can finally find the complete list of those we have discovered so far based on the rarity and type of object on which they can be found.
