In Capcom's latest effort, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, the Super Rare Tane represent a very demanding challenge after the main campaign. As the name suggests, the rarest monsters in the game nest in these lairs. These places are also the only place to find (for the most part) Elder Dragons. In addition there is also the possibility of finding deviant monsters.
How to find the Super Rare Lairs in Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin
New lairs will start popping up after you finish the game's main story. These are high-ranking burrows and, like normal ones, come in both normal and rare varieties. High-ranking burrows have a reddish tint but high-ranking rare burrows are the same gold color as regular rare burrows. You will have to get closer to understand what kind of lair it is. However, the Super Rare Burrows are lined with diamonds, so almost impossible to miss.
To increase the likelihood of finding eggs in the Super Rare Burrows, you can make offerings to Prayer Pot. Another way to increase the likelihood is to use Super Rare Expedition Tickets and start a cooperative expedition.
Whichever method you choose to use, once you find the rare burrows use the fast travel to go to the desired location. After checking the available lairs, use fast travel again to restore them.
Eggs found in Super Rare Burrows in Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin
Super Rare Lairs currently only contain Elder Dragon Eggs and Deviant Monster Eggs. The Elden Dragons are the most powerful monsters in the game. Deviant monsters are similar to their MonHun counterparts that you will find in the main story. They have a different look and some different skills and genes. The fights with these monsters are rage-rayed bosses during the main campaign.
