It is a feature not to be underestimated, especially in light of the confusions generated at the debut of the new console. Unlike Xbox, Sony does not have a program like Smart Delivery that automatically updates the copy. Officially, with Smart Delivery you get “the versions of the game for Xbox One and Xbox Series X through a single purchase. You receive "the best version of the game on your console, regardless of the generation, all without any additional steps on your part". Once the Xbox Series X optimized version is released, it automatically replaces the version. PlayStation 5 instead offers the choice.

On the scarce availability of the next gen console (still unavailable by normal means) the respective heads of Sony Interactive Entertainment and Xbox, Jim Ryan and Phil Spencer, have made mea culpa, trusting in the next year.
