We have already talked to you in a special guide of the best Pokémon to attack a gym. Now it's up to the best defenders. The values taken into consideration are therefore only two: Health points and Defense. But beware: as you may have noticed looking at both lists there are Pokémon that are strong both in attack and in defense, so their presence here does not imply that they are bad attackers.
This list shows in descending order i Stronger Pokémon to defend your gyms. The ranking is based on the statistics (unfortunately not visible in game) of each individual Pokémon.
Our advice is to use and enhance a lot: Vaporeon, Chansey and Exeggutor, since at each level up they will acquire many battle points (do not be fooled by the paltry 400 of Chansey, it reaches unthinkable statistics even for a Pokémon in 2000) and also they are much more common to others.
Unfortunately you cannot rely on weaknesses and strengths to defend gyms, as you will not be able to know who will attack you. The only useful tips we would like to give you are three:
- Do not entrust gyms to weak Pokémon against the most common creatures (Golbat, Pidgeot etc ..) so that at least you will be safe from novice coaches.
- If there are, pay attention to the Pokémon already present in the gym and try to fill their weaknesses.
- Use only XL creatures as defenders (since they have more life points) and those with a very strong special move (since while they defend their bar it recharges much faster than attackers).
