Review for Seven: The Days Long Gone. PC game, the video game came out on 01/12/2017

Seven: The Days Lone Gone is an indie project born from IMGN.PRO and Fool's Theory that immediately aroused everyone's interest thanks to the mix of genres and possibilities given in this RPG. The adventure takes place in a sandbox that can be freely explored even vertically thanks to the possibility of real park-hour sessions. We are in the Vethrall empire a post-apocalyptic world, and we impersonate a skilled thief named Teriel forced into deception by the Drugun Emperor to enter Peh. The latter is a prison island, which is divided into different areas characterized by the factions present or by the inhabitants of the island themselves.

Isola is completely explorable right away but at each checkpoint we will have to deal with the Technomagons who will check our visas (Pills that once hired I allow access to the various areas), deciding whether to try to sneak in or get the infamous visa .  The island is not very large but rich in content and is fully explorable, to look for the resources necessary for crafting and to carry out secondary missions. This allows a Seven: The Days Lone Gone to engage the player between 10 and 20 hours of play.

The population of Peh it is composed mainly of those who have been imprisoned on the island to pay off their debts to the Vetrall Empire. The crimes committed vary, and there is no shortage of ordinary people who have had the misfortune to trample someone powerful. Life on the island is controlled by two leading organizations, which reinforce the will of the Emperor - the Tech Wizards and the Biomancers.

The former have the task of discovering and studying the artifacts of the ancients. They are also the soldiers who protect its borders and cities. Biomancers are a kind of sect that studies the limits of the human body and delves into not-so-ethical experiments to improve the powers of the soldiers of Vethrall and better understand the magical potential of mankind.

During the fights it highlights how the game pushes for a stealth approach in that the mechanics of the fights are very simple and often we will find ourselves compulsively attacking opponents and then running away, given the difficulty encountered in the fight and the falls into ravines due to the impossibility of interrupting the action. Much more efficient are the attacks in stealth mode that with a move allow us to knock down our opponent. Never movements generate "noise" and this obliges us to be very careful not to alarm the guards, but all this is partially nullified by using the disguises that will allow us to pass the game areas very easily.

Artanak is the name of the demon our "guardian" who will accompany us on the island with well-constructed dialogues. all localized on screen in Spanish. Thanks to him we will discover why we are on the island and what our task is.

As is any self-respecting RPG, even here we can grow the character during the adventure, and in Seven: The Days Long Gone this happens through the grafting of chips to improve. However, there are no levels to reach, but only the exploration and the completion of the secondary missions allow to recover the schemes for the creation of the chips. Furthermore, it is always possible to modify the set of chips used to find the combination we like best, or temporarily improve a feature. Always to improve Teriel is crafting that allows us through the tool bench or the alchemist to improve our objects or create new ones.

Seven: The Days Long Gone has a lot to say, but also to be forgiven, because plagued by some problems as well as real bugs that undermine the enjoyment of the title. Fortunately, the development team has already released various paths to solve problems such as saving that became more substantial than the title itself as well as worsening its performance. The framerate drop it is eye-catching despite the fact that you are faced with cell shading graphics and rich but generally static environments with not particularly brilliant textures. Honestly knowing the origin of a large part of the Fool's Theory team (CD Project Red) I would have expected a cleaner and more defined project at the exit.

Seven: The Days Long Gone - Review

Seven: The Days Long Gone could give an excellent gaming experience, given by a good longevity and the setting of Peh, really successful and characterized. Unfortunately at the moment the game seems like an unripe fruit, beautiful outside, which makes you want to be played, only to turn out not yet ready. Fortunately it seems that the development team is working on user feedback and the first paths are proof of this, we hope that Seven: The Days Long Gone manages to become the game it could be.
