Originally published in 1994, System Shock represents still one of the peaks reached by the science fiction genre in the videogame sector. The eyes of the fans are obviously all focused on the remake of the first System Shock, of no news for some time. In the last few hours, however, Nightdive Studios has announced that the opening of the System Shock Remake pre-orders for PC is scheduled for the month of February and that the final demo is coming.
Players will be able to pre-order System Shock via Steam, GOG or the Epig Games Store and will have access to the demo, although the day of its release has not been specified. The trial version of the game, for which console users will still have to wait, includes unprecedented mechanics such as the dismemberment of enemies and levels such as the medical one or the cyberspace one. Furthermore, according to what was declared by the developers, those who decide to pre-order the game will also receive System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition for free (just as expected for anyone who has financed the title on Kickstarter with more than $ 30).
Nightdive Studios has in fact the goal of releasing System Shock 2 in conjunction with the release of System Shock Remake, currently without a release date. Recall that, although for now we are talking about demos and pre-orders for the PC version, System Shock Remake will also arrive on Console.
