Naughty Dog is not new to the inclusion of easter eggs in its games: the most famous is probably the Ratchet & Clank egg in Uncharted 2, but the new The Last of Us Part II could take it right the first place with this surprise: inside the game, exploring an entirely optional area, you can find and collect the ring of Nathan Drake, the protagonist of Uncharted.
You can collect the ring once you arrive in a large area near Seattle, which is approximately just before the middle of the main campaign of The Last of Us Part II, in which you can move freely by exploring a series of optional locations along the lines of what has already been seen in the Madagascar area of Uncharted 4. You will recognize the point as it will be the only time the game will allow you to consult a map, which Ellie will update based on the discoveries you make with the exploration. Patrolling the area you will find documents from which you can read how a group of thieves were planning a robbery in a nearby bank. Ellie will immediately mark the point of interest on the map: you will have to go to the south-east of the area, we indicate the precise point in the image below.
The bank building is easily recognizable by the "Westlake Bank" sign that stands out on the facade. The palace has definitely seen better days and, apparently, there is no way to enter as the entrance has partially collapsed. However, just get closer to discover an access point right under the sign, which will lead you to the underground rooms.
Once inside you will have to deal with the usual infected: pay particular attention to both the thieves and the security officers (they have all been transformed by the epidemic, which broke out just as they attempted the robbery) since many of them wear bulletproof vests. The best solution is therefore the stealth approach, which will allow you to stealthily eliminate all enemies without risking a frontal attack. which would cost you several bullets.
Once you have cleared the main area, continue into the rooms on the left of the point where you entered, collect and consult the various documents until you reach and open the main safe using the combination 60-23-06, which you can find out by reading a note from the robbers. Inside this, examine the safes with which you can interact until you find, in one of them, the legendary ring of Nathan Drake in the world of The Last of Us part II.
"Sic Parvis Magna", the inscription on the ring, has become over time the motto of Nathan Drake, "From humble origins to great enterprises", and rediscover the collectible will allow you to also earn a trophy of the same title.
