Those Who Remain is a horror adventure characterized by an interesting plot however, as highlighted in the review phase, it didn't quite hit the mark - despite the presence of three different endings that in this guide we will go to explore - due to a not very varied gameplay and a little refined technical sector.
To fully complete Those Who Remain and obtain the three endings it will be necessary to reach certain criteria based on the choices made in the topical phases of the title and which will automatically unlock the available achievement trophies (and of which you can find the list here). But stop the chatter and let's start exploring the three endings of the Camel 101 title.
Good Ending
On several occasions we will be asked to make a choice about certain characters, with whom we will have to deal in the course of our exploration, leading them to redemption or condemning them to hellish punishments. The title seems set to push to forgive some and condemn others, however if we want to get the best ending we will have to forgive everyone, even those who deserve a severe lesson. We will also have to save all the other characters not related to the "trial phases" (the man in the police car, the foreman at the sawmill and the woman in the truck).
There are no other particular actions to perform, and the equation is very simple: all forgiven = best ending, all condemned = bad ending. Although we get the best ending, in the final cinematics we will be told that the guilty have been punished while the innocent left alone, a decidedly ambiguous phrase.
Bad Ending
To get it, as mentioned above, it will be enough to condemn even one character from Those Who Remain. Even objectively evaluating who deserved to be forgiven and who was condemned, the title is not set to have nuances and therefore will lead you to a bad ending even if you decide to leave one of the various characters to his fate.
Nightmare Ending
This is the only "particular" ending that requires compliance with some selection criteria. To get this sort of variant of Those Who Remain's Bad Ending it will be necessary to respect some conditions during our run on the streets of Dormont: we will have to forgive Mark, the police chief, and the post office employee, convict the fire chief, kill the guy in the police car, the foreman at the sawmill and the woman in the truck.
At this point you can enjoy the last of the three endings, which reserves a not exactly pleasant fate for the protagonist Edward; Additionally, it will unlock a trophy achievement that will allow you to platinum the title on PlayStation 4 or reach 1000 G on Xbox One.
