From the table to video games

Trivial Pursuit Live! as mentioned, it is the videogame transposition of the famous board quiz of general culture. Up to four players compete locally or online, in a series of questions that focus on the categories that the video game makes available to us: Hobbies and Sports, Geography, History, Nature and Science, Art and Literature, Entertainment, in short, the classic six categories of the original board game.

The only difference with the original lies in the fact that to win you don't need to get a degree in each category, you just need to get six wedges regardless of color to win. This means that we can also win by getting more wedges of the same color.

The game system follows the characteristics of Buzz! and Scene It ?, even if it does not use particular controllers and in which the console controller is enough. We will have to answer a series of questions in the different rounds to get points and when we reach a certain score we will get wedges.

The games take place in three or five rounds and in a different difficulty level, easy, medium and hard, and each round has four modes available, two of which also have the “timed” version, chosen at random. The four modes that the video game makes available to us are: Shooter, in which to answer a series of questions about a category and in which the points obtained for the correct answers increase during the round; Scambiagoria, in which the players alternate in the choice of the category and in which by answering correctly to the chosen category they get double the points; Head-to-Head, in which players respond alternately to a series of questions in which the answers range from best to worst and in which they score points based on the quality of the chosen answer; Head-to-Head Blitz, in which a series of questions must be answered simultaneously in which the answers range from best to worst and in which players score points based on the quality of the chosen answer; Surprise Fishing, in which each question has sixteen answers, eight correct answers and eight wrong answers, in which the players take turns expressing their choices and making mistakes are eliminated until the next question; Surprise Fishing Blitz, in which you have to answer a series of questions at the same time, in which each question has sixteen answers, eight correct answers and eight wrong answers, in which players respond simultaneously by expressing their choices and making mistakes are eliminated until the next question.

At the end of the rounds you arrive at the Final Round, in which you have to correctly answer a series of questions of a category in which to choose an answer between two alternatives and whoever answers correctly to more questions of that category gets the wedge. Whoever has obtained all six wedges at the end of the Final Round wins. In case no one has obtained all six wedges, the winner will be the one who has obtained the most, if there are players who have obtained the same number of wedges the winner will be the player with the highest score.

The cardboard-style graphics and sound, with a series of fun and title-styled tunes, make our experience with this video game even more enjoyable.

Online play follows the rules of offline play in three- or five-round matches.
