Small preface before starting the solution of this game.
The game has 3 endings: the Great one, the Normal one and the Bad one, the choices you make will vary both the composition of your team and the objects and therefore the ending you will find. So in this guide we will follow the path that will lead to the Normal End, and now start the adventure!
After the beautiful opening movie, you can finally begin the real adventure of Valkyrie Profile which, as you may have guessed, will be full of battles, betrayals and a great revenge!
The Prologue will be a kind of Tutorial to learn the first rudiments on the game, in fact you will have with you 2 very strong characters that will prevent you from failing (Heugoe and Gwendal) plus your childhood friend Ancel; the action will take place at Aullewyn Keep.
By following the instructions given to you, you will start your first battle:
Aullewyn Keep Gate
Enemies: 2 Dire Wolf, 1 Ghoul
items: Warrior's Arcanum, Union Plume
Just follow the instructions to familiarize yourself with the combat system, which may seem complicated at first. You will still have Heugoe and Gwendel on your side who will absolutely prevent you from losing. Kill the 2 Dire Wolf first and then dedicate yourself to the Ghoul, perhaps making several combos to get a lot of experience.
After the battle, Heugoe and Gwendel will leave you alone, your protagonist will be mortally wounded by the Ghoul left on the field and will be brought back to life by a strange character. After the dialogues you can go shopping and so on, but there is nothing that for now, so get ready to carry out your second battle already, where among other things you can also use the Siege.
Aullewyn Keep West
Enemies: 2 Dire Wolf, 2 Kobold
items: Warrior's Arcanum, Union Plume
Calmly dedicate yourself to one enemy at a time, perhaps trying to position yourself one in front and one behind the same to make the Siege and gain more experience!
As soon as you finish the battle, the next one will start immediately:

You will not have much choice in the options to follow, in a nutshell the story will force you to use the Destiny Plume on Ancel and until you perform this action all other options will be blocked. Since Ancel will be invincible and very powerful, focus on making siege and combos so that at the end of the battle you have a ton of experience.
Unfortunately, at the end of the fight Ancel will perish and your protagonist will acquire a new skill: Vali's Awakening, which will double all your stats for 2 turns, a very useful skill!
With Wyl running away from guilt, the Prologue ends.
