September was a very important month for Tencent, with the acquisition, by the Chinese giant, of Leyou Technologies for $ 1.4 billion.
One development that, theoretically, could have changed the plans regarding Warframe: Leyou Technologies, in turn, directly controls Digital Extremes, the developers of the free to play shooter production.
Apparently, reading the statements reported on the official blog of the software house, we learn that Tencent would not have affected the Canadian team's freedom in the least.
We will remain creative independently… Tencent is known for respecting the creative decisions and integrity of their studios, giving them the autonomy and independence to experiment, innovate and grow.
Let's remember how Digital Extremes is currently mainly focused on the development of Warframe for next-gen consoles and on a series of news not yet disclosed, which will be available next year. Are you still playing Warframe? What do you think of the current content available?
