There are just under two weeks from the release of the new Watch Dogs: Legion, but Ubisoft has recently unveiled some interesting technical details of this title on the next-gen. During a Q&A held on Reddit, Ubisoft Live Producer, Lathieeshe Thillainathan, officially confirmed what we can expect from this new title on next generation consoles. Responding to a user who asked for details on the graphic quality of the new chapter of Watch Dogs, Lathieeshe allegedly stated that this title will run on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X with a maximum resolution of 4K and at 30fps with active Ray Tracing..
However, it has not been clarified whether additional graphics options will be available, such as the ability to disable the RT by increasing overall fluidity (and perhaps reaching the much-coveted 60fps, which is loudly demanded in response to his comment). We hope that this is actually a feature of the final release of the title, so as to leave the player the choice between greater fluidity and less overall graphic detail or vice versa.
Finally, we remind you that the launch of Watch Dogs: Legion scheduled for November 29 obviously concerns only the consoles of the current generation, Xbox One and PlayStation 4; nevertheless, by first purchasing the title, it will still be possible to get a free upgrade for the next generation of consoles. In addition, as specified in the same Q&A we told you about in this article, cross-progression will be available for the online sector (to allow you to keep your progress between platforms), and that the developers are considering adding cross-play with a future update.
