Mega Evolutions, introduced in Generation VI with Pokémon X and Y, are one of the features also present in Pokémon: Let's Go Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go Eevee !. Although the method by which Mega Evolutions work has been changed slightly, it will still remain quite familiar to fans and will still require the use of Mega Stones.
In previous games, the subject needed to hold the Mega Stone in order to Mega Evolve a Pokémon; in Pokémon: Let's Go you can Mega Evolve without this need and all those Pokémon that have more than one Mega form will have an option that will allow you to choose the desired form.
Once you have the Mega Stone, a new option will appear in battle that will allow Mega Evolution. Pokémon will remain in Mega form for the duration of the battle, after which they will revert to their normal forms.
