DualSense works on PS3 and Nintendo Switch

PlayStation 5 is about to arrive marking the debut of the new generation of consoles and bringing the Dualense. It is a Controller designed specifically for the next-gen and which by virtue of its unique characteristics is not designed for other platforms. The lucky ones who received the platform in advance, however, carried out various tests, testing the peripheral on other devices, even external to Sony.

The videomaker MidnightMan, for example, he tried to connect the DualSense first to a PlayStation 4, discovering that it is not even recognized by the latter, then to the PlayStation 3 via Bluetooth, finding instead the opposite. The latest Sony branded controller allows you to freely navigate between the options of the main console menu, even wirelessly, excluding the "PS" button.

Moving away from the world of the Japanese giant, a user known on Twitter as BrokenGamezHDR_ has published a video in which he demonstrates how it is possible to use a DualSense with Nintendo Switch. As you can see in the twitter shared on the social network, it was enough to exploit an 8bitdo adapter to allow the hybrid console of the Kyoto house to recognize the peripheral. Apparently, this method gives you the ability to check the controller battery and view the main interface options.
