On the day of Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered, out today for Xbox One, PS4 and PC (the Switch version will be released on November 13), succulent news emerges on the next-gen future of the Need for Speed saga and especially of Battlefield. In its recent financial report, Electronic Arts has in fact provided an update in this regard, confirming that the next titles, developed respectively by DICE and Criterion Games, will be released in fiscal year 2022.
We remember that the fiscal year 2022 is actually included between 1 April 2021 and 31 March 2022, in fact, EA CEO Andrew Wilson also confirmed that the next Battlefield will be released for Christmas festivities of the 2021. The manager also went on to underline how the technical advances of the new consoles are allowing the development team to realize the vision of a true new generation for the franchise. The tests conducted internally have received very positive feedback and the work of involving the community has already begun.
As for the sixth Battlefield finally, Wilson stated that it will have "dimensions never seen before", while the new Need for Speed is credited with some stunning visual improvements that will certainly do justice to the upcoming new hardware.
