About eight years after the first teaser trailer and more than a postponement, cyberpunk 2077 is finally in the pipeline. The latest effort by CD Projekt RED promises to be a very content-packed action RPG, also considering the post launch support already outlined in the past. In fact, in addition to free DLC and expansions of greater caliber, the arrival of a multiplayer mode is expected that will almost represent a game in its own right.
During the last meeting with the shareholders of the Polish studio, the CEO Adam Kicinski reiterated to the financiers that the Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer sector will not be a frill of the single player experience, but will be structured as a complete title. "We prefer not to refer to Cyberpunk 2077's multiplayer as mode," said the spokesperson, "It is in fact a separate big budget production, we see it as a complete game in its own right".
This explains why the multiplayer will be added only later than the base game, arriving on all platforms instead 10th December next one. This certainly does not mean that the two products will be totally unrelated, but it demonstrates the commitment that the team wants to instill in every aspect of its work.
At the moment there is no information on the expansion of Cyberpunk 2077 which, we recall, will be free for all owners of the game. For now, CD Projekt is focusing on the main game.
