In Final Fantasy VII Remake in Chapter 9 we will see Cloud, Aerith and Tifa wearing clothes to participate in Don Corneo's audition. An iconic and fun scene recreated from Final Fantasy VII which may seem unimportant, but which in reality in the remake can be influenced by our choices, which will determine the clothes that the three protagonists will wear.
In particular, knowing how to manage this small event is necessary to earn the trophy Sartorial research, essential if you want to collect all the trophies.
Each of the characters has access to three different outfits in Final Fantasy VII Remake, so nine in total, and the game will "choose" which one depending on your conduct. Below we explain which one.
- TIFA
The choice of Tifa's outfit will fall back as early as Chapter 3. By completing all 6 side missions you will unlock a Tête-à-tête side activity in which she will ask you what kind of outfit she could give her.
Choose the option
- "With a classic dress" will lead to make her wear the dress on the left

- "With an exotic look" the one on the right.
Note that the classic outfit is the default, so it will be unlocked simply by ignoring or skipping the side activity.
- AERITH
The choice of Aerith's outfit will be determined by the number of side missions we complete in Chapter 8, before continuing in the story.
Do not no mission will lead her to wear the dress on the left, complete it at least three the one in the center, and complete them all and six will unlock the one on the right.
- CLOUD
The choice of Cloud's outfit will instead be determined by which missions you undertake in Chapter 9. There are two different sets of missions and it will only be possible to do one per game. Going back and embarking on the second set, by the way, is the only way to complete all the secondary missions of Final Fantasy VII Remake, and earn the related trophy. Legendary handyman.
To unlock the first dress will be enough for you not complete the missions described.
To unlock the second dress we will have to undertake the missions: The price of notoriety e The push-up fever. After completing them, go back to Madame M and outside her club you will find the Arena Assistant who will assign you the third mission: Sharp Revenge.
However, these missions will not be available normally, the following conditions must be followed:
- Arrived at the entrance of the Walled Market, answer "She is a great bartender”To Chocobo Sam.
- DO NOT talk to the man outside the Murato Market hotel.
- On your way to Don Corneo's villa you ignore Johnny running away and his side business "Johnny the Tramp".
- To choose "Head”To the Chocobo Sam coin bet.
- Choose the "Heavenly massage"With Madame M.
- When Aerith asks your opinion on her dress, answer "The measure seems right to me".
- Complete the main mission in the Arena.
To unlock the third dress we will have to undertake the missions The long night e The push-up fever. After completing them, go back to Chocobo Sam who will assign you the third mission: An Explosive Body.
To activate these missions it is necessary to follow the following conditions:
- Arrived at the entrance of the Walled Market, answer "She's very beautiful”To Chocobo Sam.
- Talk to the man outside the Murato Market hotel.
- Heading towards Don Corneo's villa, follow and talk to Johnny who runs away, answer "Yes!" to complete his side business "Johnny the Tramp".
- When Aerith asks your opinion on her dress, answer "I don't mind".
- Complete the main mission in the Arena.
To unlock all the clothes of Final Fantasy VII Remake you will therefore have to reach the end of Chapter 9 at least three times. Fortunately, once you've finished the game for the first time, you will be able to select the chapters you want to play, so you won't need to do three full runs of the game. To optimize times, we recommend that you follow the steps below.
At the first run of the game:
- in Chapter 3 choose "sporty" or "exotic" for Tifa;
- in Chapter 8 do all the missions of Sector 8 (the rewards will be useful);
- in Chapter 9 do the set of missions for the second outfit (they give more experience points).
On your second round you may want to play hard mode to get the relevant trophy:
- start directly from Chapter 3 and choose the option you didn't choose at the first run (not “elegant”), then make sure you complete the chapter;
- skip straight to Chapter 8 and complete only three missions in Sector 5, and complete the chapter;
- in Chapter 9 do the mission set for the third outfit.
By doing this the last three clothes left will be the fastest to take, go back and to speed everything up select the easy mode:
- in Chapter 3, ignore all side missions and proceed directly to Seventh Heaven to complete the chapter;
- skip to Chapter 8 and do no missions, heading as soon as you can to Aerith's house to continue;
- upon reaching Chapter 9, ignore all missions and return as soon as possible to Madame M.
