After having been leaked some time ago, and finally appeared very recently on the PlayStation Store, the demo of Final Fantasy VII Remake quickly entered the PlayStation 4 of thousands of fans who couldn't wait to try the highly anticipated title for themselves Square Enix. Although it is a rather short excerpt, here is a small guide to find all the hidden objects in this segment of the game, as well as some advice on how to deal with the most difficult battles.
For the sake of completeness, we will not take anything for granted and will also indicate easily identifiable objects. Note that the objects that can be obtained by smashing the various crates with the Shinra symbol are not fixed (like those inside the chests) and can vary randomly, so we will report what we have found there, but if you find other objects there it is entirely normal.
Let's start this Final Fantasy VII Remake guide with a… visual tip. If the camera seems too close to Cloud and you prefer to have a wider view you can change it. After shooting down the second pair of Shinra soldiers you can access the game menu with the Options button of the DualShock 4, from here select: System, Options, Visual and vibration function. Here you will find the entries Viewing in exploration e Battle view, you just need to increase the values to get a slightly rearward view.
In the station we advise you to stop for a few moments to take a look at the advertising posters on the walls and the vending machines, you will find some pretty nice references that especially fans of the saga will appreciate.
After taking down the first three patrols of Shinra soldiers, climbing the stairs and opening the first chest, before continuing, head left to find another chest in a corner containing 2 grenades.
Continuing past the arches, in addition to breaking the two small crates near the Avalanche members, be sure to head to theright corner of the balcony to destroy some crates to find 2 more potions and some makolite.
After the cutscene and the next fight, before continuing, look left past a pole suspended between two road cones to find a chest containing 1 Aether Vial. Before getting on the elevator break the crates in the room to find 1 potion, 1 Moguri medal and some makolite.
After going down the stairs, before passing the opening in the grate, look at the rest of the room behind you to find two more stacks of crates to break in which to find 1 potion and some makolite (if you have the MP already full you might want to take it after the fight that will trigger trying to get through the grate to reload them).
After going through the opening, in the corridor between the grates you will find on the left other crates to break in which to find 1 potion.
Continuing in our little guide of Final Fantasy VII Remake, after the next fight, you will find in plain sight a chest with 2 potions near the entrance to the corridor. Crates containing makolite and a chest with 1 phoenix tail are also clearly visible in the room just before the elevator.
In the section with the safety lasers, remember that even if you manage to pass them with Cloud and stop immediately beyond, Barret who continues after you could still get hit and lose HP. Before reaching Jessie and going down the stairs, smash the crates on the left to collect 1 potion and some makolite. After passing all lasers you will find a chest with 2 potions before the stairs.
To better face theAnnihilator use Barret to cast as soon as possible Glare to quickly raise his Tension level and stun him. At this point, hit the robot hard, especially with Cloud's Exhausting Injury to quickly send him into a state of Exhaustion. At this point, keep hitting the opponent with your most damaging techniques. If he gets up before running out of energy, repeat the procedure, obviously being careful not to remain motionless in front of his attacks.
After taking down the Annihilator, before continuing go back and under the stairs Where you came from you will find a chest containing 1 Aether.
Arrived in the center of the reactor, after going down the first stairs on the right you will find some crates to break with 2 potions and some makolite. Before going down the next stairs, a chest with 1 phoenix tail is visible. Equally visible are the crates to be smashed near the next stairs near Jessie. Before going down the following stairs deviated to face the group of Foropticos, so you can open the chest containing 1 ether and break other chests with 1 potion.
You are about to face the first boss of Final Fantasy VII Remake, so if you need to heal. The Vigilante Scorpio is vulnerable to Fulgor, so throw him whenever you get the chance, keeping Barret at some distance to avoid his close-range attacks. At the start of the second phase, don't cast Fulgor, get around the boss quickly to hit the Protective Core and disable his energy shield; only then will it be vulnerable again. Be careful: as soon as you see him projecting a blue glow, quickly move away to avoid his electromagnetic field. Whenever the Scorpio Vigilante jumps off and attaches to the surrounding walls, take control of Barret and keep attacking him from long range, but be careful of his missiles. In the third phase, when the Scorpio Vigilante will use the Caudal Laser, make sure to have Cloud and Barret repaired behind two different covers. As soon as it becomes clear which of the two was shot at, take control of the other character (maybe help yourself in timing by opening the strategy menu with X) and attack him. In the last part of the fight it will be possible to target the front legs of the boss, concentrate your attacks on one of these to destroy and stun it, at which point attack the main body with your strongest attacks; if necessary, do the same thing with the second leg.
After taking down the boss, while you escape from the reactor after climbing the first stairs, in the right corner where you found the group of Foropticos the crates will have reappeared, you can break them to find makolite. After saving Jessie and descending the ladders, you will find more crates to break in front of the scaffolding. Before going up the next ladder don't leave behind the chest with 2 potions inside.
After reuniting with Barret, go down the stairs from where he came up and you will find that other crates have reappeared to be broken to find more makolite.
Go up the ladder, take down the Foropticos, go up the second ladder and you will find on the right other new crates to break with 1 potion and another makolite, then others along the way.
You will therefore have to deal with a Fighter, which will prove to be very agile against Barret's bullets. Face it then with Cloud, instructing the companion to cast attack spells (or healing, if needed). Go up other stairs and you will have to deal with a rather uncomfortable situation: two Fighters and two Laser Sentinels in the same room. Clearly dedicate Barret to taking down the Sentinels and Cloud to the others. Unfortunately Fighters have an unpleasant tendency to target Barret, if so stay in an area where you can't be reached by both lasers and use Cloud to hit them hard. Use without hesitation all the potions and resources you have accumulated so far, because this is the last fight of the Final Fantasy VII Remake demo.
Here is therefore completed the demo of Final Fantasy VII Remake. Unfortunately it is not possible to save the game and carry the save into the full game, but given the duration it's not a big problem after all.
