In Final Fantasy VII Remake you can get the Eclectic Matter which allows you to learn some skills from enemies and then use them in turn, exactly like the Enemy Skill of the original Final Fantasy VII. Some of these skills are quite useful, plus learning them all will earn you the Eclectic Mastery silver trophy, which is essential if you want to collect all the trophies in the game.
To learn them you must have the subject equipped and hope that the opponent will use that specific technique on you. Once you have learned it you can use it whenever you want (obviously if you have the Eclettica equipped).

Frost Aura: Creates an aura that deals Frost damage to enemies that approach, and infuses your Frost Element weapon (1 ATB).
It is learnable from Dracerio, which can be found:
- in Chapter 3 as a mini-boss of the Threat from the Graveyard mission.
- in Chapter 11 in the Train Cemetery.
- in the Walled Market Arena in the "Menacing Challenge for Two".
Kamikaze: Deals massive damage to the surrounding area, but knocks out the user (2 ATB).
It can be learned from:
- Boggy: slums of Sector 5 and in various Arena challenges.
- Red: in the “Menacing Challenge for Two” of the Arena and in the missions of the VR simulator in the Shinra building.
- Malortide and Mutant Malortide: in Chapter 14 in the slums of Sector 6, and in the VR simulator missions in the Shinra building.
Vital Drain: Absorbs CP from surrounding enemies (2 ATB).
It is learnable by one Spectrum, which can be found:
- in Chapter 14 in the slums of Sector 5 during the Missing Children mission.
- in the VR simulator missions in the Shinra building.
Fetid Breath: Inflicts Poison, Mute, and Sleep (2 ATB) statuses.
It is learnable from Molboro, which can only be played in the “Legendary Challenge for Three” circuit of the VR simulator in the Shinra palace in Hard mode.
