How to deactivate Amazon Prime so that the service does not automatically renew after one year of membership or after the free trial period.
Cancel Amazon Prime before the free trial ends
- Go to the Amazon page from your web browser.
- Log in with your Amazon credentials to the site.
- Place the cursor on the item Account e list located at the top right.
- Move the pointer over the item My Amazon Prime.
- In the "Manage Registration" tab, click on "Update, cancel and more" and then on "End registration".
You will receive an email at the email address associated with your Amazon account notifying you that your subscription has been canceled.
Cancel Amazon Prime Annual Subscription
- Go to the Amazon page from your web browser.
- Log in with your Amazon credentials to the site.
- Place the cursor on the item Account e list located at the top right.
- Move the pointer over the item My Amazon Prime.
- In the tab Manage Subscription click on Update, delete and more and then End registration.
You will receive an email at the email address associated with your Amazon account notifying you that your subscription has been canceled.
Contact Amazon to cancel Amazon Prime
If you have not been able to deactivate Amazon Prime with the instructions above, call the toll-free number 800 145 851. A recorded voice will welcome you to Amazon's telephone customer service. You will then have to wait for an operator to respond.
