Watchdogs 2 is based on a single central goal: to gain followers so that they offer their smartphones to create a cloud so powerful that they can attack Blume. Followers work as if they were Marcus' experience points, after accumulating some we will level up by earning research points that we will need to unlock new skills. While it is possible to find research points around San Francisco, these are difficult to recover, so the best way to get them is to increase your level. So let's see how to earn followers quickly in Watch Dogs 2.
Main missions
This is the simplest Follower source (but we will see not the fastest ever). The number can vary a lot, but we're still talking about a good amount of followers. To give you an idea, in the first missions we can get from 27.000 to 46.000, with the final one reaching a peak of 400.000 Followers.
Secondary missions
Similarly to what was said for the main missions, here too the range varies from mission to mission, while remaining on a 5-digit number. To find all the side missions, I refer you to this guide.
Online missions
Also in this case the same speech made above applies, with only one substantial difference, namely that in this case the different missions are distinguished by difficulty and, obviously, the higher the difficulty, the greater the reward. In addition, the online missions are endless and randomly generated, so, in case of need, you can carry them out to acquire the research points you are missing; and don't worry if you play alone, the presence of a partner is not mandatory to complete the objectives.
Other online activities
Watch Dogs 2 re-proposes the dynamic multiplayer formula that was so successful in the first episode of the series. These activities can also be an excellent source of Followers, although the actual amount depends a lot on your skill. Bounty Hunter allows you to get between 5.000 and 25.000 Followers, while Hacker Invasions range from 4.000 to 15.000. Enabled the relevant option in the game menu you will often see players enter your game, or you can invade one of them from the relevant app.
Depending on your skill in completing an attack you will get Followers in a proportional manner and this can be the fastest way to acquire followers, even compared to the main missions.
Driver: SF
San Francisco could not fail to have its version of Uber and thanks to these short driving missions we will be able to earn from 6.000 to 11.000 Followers depending on the stars obtained at the end of the race. With some steps that last even less than 5 minutes, being a taxi driver is a very easy and fast source of followers; furthermore, the stars obtained are added up giving us additional Followers once certain thresholds are reached, for example we will have a bonus of 12.000 Followers after 21 stars, as well as we will get 25.000 when reached 50 stars.

Taking a photo in one of the places of interest scattered around San Francisco will get you 8.000 followers in no time. Although it is a very simple activity, given the low reward, it is advisable to take pictures only if you are in the right area, without going so far going from point to point. When you are around a typical place your phone will vibrate, or you can search the app if you are in the right area for a nice selfie.
Races
Completing one of the optional races, chosen from Drones, Motocross, Sailing and Kart, will allow you to earn a small amount of Followers and money, always depending on the final position obtained. For example, with a dear in Motocross you can earn 11.000 Followers by winning the race in less than 2 minutes and 30, which is not bad if you count the time taken.
