One of the greatest Pokémon GO mysteries since its "release" is linked to Eevee and its evolutions. In the classic Pokémon games this cute little animal evolves into one of its advanced forms depending on the stone that is given to him. In Pokémon GO, however, the evolution is entrusted only to candies. This had suggested that Eevee could evolve into one of the three available forms randomly or based on the chosen team (plausible hypothesis, as the colors of the teams coincide with the elements of the three first generation evolutions). But no, we will reveal how it works.
Apparently, if we want to be the one to decide in which form to evolve Eevee, we will have to give the Pokémon a nickname related to the form we have decided. These are the names to give to Eevee:
- Pyro: Flareon
- Rainer: Vaporeon
- Sparky: Jolteon
After changing your name, it's best to log out and re-enter Pokémon GO to be sure the server has been updated with the Pokémon's name.
What if you don't have Eevee? It's now easier to find, thanks to our guide to finding nearby Pokémon without the need for third-party applications.
