Mythical Pokémon have always been linked to particular events and limited time: Zarude, the rare Pokémon from Pokémon Sword and Shield, is no exception. Unlike many others, however, the Monkey Pokémon is within everyone's reach and to get it a few clicks are enough thanks to an official initiative by The Pokémon Company International.
Zarude will make his first appearance in the Pokémon Coco movie, arriving around Christmas in Japan. The film will be adapted in Pokémon: Secrets of the Jungle and for the occasion GameStop takes care of the distribution of the codes, both in physical stores and online.
- Click on the following link on the official GameStop page of the event (GameStop Link for Zarude).
- Enter your email address (it must be the same email associated with your GameStopZing account).
- Wait 7 days: the code will arrive on the email.
- Redeem Zarude on Pokémon Sword and Shield via Secret Gift.
Note: To join the initiative it is necessary to be enrolled in the GSZ + program and have given marketing consent, or consent to the processing of data for marketing purposes only for the initiative of sending the code to obtain Zarude.
That's all! Zarude will arrive on your Nintendo Switches via the redemption code function of the Secret Gift at level 60 with the following moves: Zuffa, Vigorcolpo, Bullo, Urlorabbia. Its signature move is Curajung, which heals both the player and allied Pokémon, including status issues. The Pokémon has the following characteristics:
- Category: Moth Monkey Pokémon
- Type: Dark / Grass
- Height: 1,8 m
- Weight: 70 kg
- Skills: Fogliamanto
- PS: 105
- Attack: 120
- Defense: 105
- Special Attack: 70
- Special Defense: 95
- Speed: 105
The official description of the Pokédex reveals more about the nature of the Dark / Grass Pokémon:
Zarude lives in a herd deep in the forest. He treats anyone outside his pack with hostility, attacking him immediately, and for this reason he is greatly feared by other Pokémon living in the forest. During the fight, it swings here and there using the trees and their branches, attacking relentlessly and by any means (including its sharp claws). He excels in fights thanks to his ingenuity.
This was the guide on how to get Zarude. The Pokémon joins all the other very rare in the group, including Mew, Celebi and in general all those who have been relegated to an event, which this year inevitably changed due to the health emergency.
