Spyro Reignited Trilogy, which brings back the first three purple dragon games (Spyro The Dragon, Gateway to Glimmer and Year of the Dragon) in remastered form and with a brand new voice acting, is finally available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
In addition to collecting votes from specialized sites and spiking nostalgia from thousands of players, some curious people tried to enter the codes that worked with the original games and imagine their surprise when they found that some still work! Toys For Bob, the developers of the Reignited Trilogy, weren't able to "rekindle" them all, but we avid gamers still thank us.
So if you want to make your adventure easier or just have fun, read on to find the codes! Rest assured: they do not disable the trophies, on the contrary, a particular code will certainly make your pursuit to platinum easier!
For some strange reason, are you bored with the particular purple color of your Spyro? No problem, with these codes you can change its color, making it a bright fiery red, a bright yellow, a fresh grass green, a bewitching blue, a candy pink or black as the night. Here are the six colors compared:
One more beautiful than the other right? Here are the codes with which you can indulge yourself: To activate them, simply go to the pause menu and enter these combinations, while to deactivate them you will have to repeat the process, old fashioned.
- Spyro red: Up, Left, Down, Right, Up, Square, R1, R2, L1, L2, Up, Right, Down, Left, Up, Circle;
- Spyro yellow: Up, Left, Down, Right, Up, Square, R1, R2, L1, L2, Up, Right, Down, Left, Up, Up;
- Spyro green: Up, Left, Down, Right, Up, Square, R1, R2, L1, L2, Up, Right, Down, Left, Up, Triangle;
- Spyro blue: Up, Left, Down, Right, Up, Square, R1, R2, L1, L2, Up, Right, Down, Left, Up, X;
- Spyro pink: Up, Left, Down, Right, Up, Square, R1, R2, L1, L2, Up, Right, Down, Left, Up, Square;
- Spyro black: Up, Left, Down, Right, Up, Square, R1, R2, L1, L2, Up, Right, Down, Left, Up, Down.
Note that the color given to Spyro in one game will automatically transfer to another if you decide to change the title of the trilogy (for example, if you decide to make your Spyro green in the second chapter, Spyro will be green even if you switch to third), but this is only a clarification as the color can be changed on the fly by pressing the pause button again and entering another combination.
There are other cosmetic changes with which to modify Spyro at will and they concern his horned head. One code, in fact, will increase the size of his head and another will make the model of the dragon in 2D, with really funny results:
- Big head: Up, Up, Up, Up, R1, R1, R1, R1, Circle;
- Spyro 2D: Left, Right, Left, Right, L2, R2, L2, R2, Square.
Another code that will be easy to abuse gives Spyro the beauty of 99 lives (the maximum) and recharge them if necessary to experiment in the game world without fear of penalties, or terrify the Gnorcs with a de facto immortal fire-breathing dragon. The code is as follows:
- 99 lives: R2, L2, R2, L2, Up, Up, Up, Up, Circle.
The version where these codes have been tested is the PlayStation 4, but there is no reason to believe that they should not work on Xbox One, with the corresponding keys of the Microsoft joypad of course.. Taking up the green Spyro of the example, just follow the code in this guide by appropriately changing some keys such as R1, L1 in RB, LB or Triangle in Y. The final result will be this: Up, Left, Down, Right, Up, Square, RB, RT, LB, LT, Up, Right, Down, Left, Up, Y.
We just have to wish you a lot of fun, whether you are in the World of Artisans, at the Autumn Plains or at the Monte di Midnight!
