As known, almost all PlayStation 4 games will also be usable on PlayStation 5, some of which have received or will receive updates aimed at improving performance in view of the new generation by Sony. Among them, God of War, Days Gone and Ghost of Tsushima have received a boost in terms of resolution e frame rate, while a new video appeared on the web allows you to deepen the backward compatibility discourse with other PlayStation exclusives such as The Last Guardian.
The user known as NX Gamer has decided to test various titles of the current flagship on the new console, comparing the frame rate between one and the other. Many are the protagonists of the test, such as Assassin's Creed Unity, Days Gone, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and The Last Guardian. Speaking of the latter, the videomaker has discovered that Fumito Ueda's work can reach 60 fps on PlayStation 5, as long as you have not installed any dedicated update.
Only with The Last Guardian disc is it possible to enjoy the adventure at the maximum fluidity available, blocking any download, while with the digital edition there will be no way to reach 60 fps. The only logical explanation is that the development team decided to block the frame rate years ago via a specific update. A more than sensible choice at the time, designed to fix some problems that the game suffered from, but which today PlayStation 5 puts in another light.
We just have to wait for any updates that unlock the frame rate of The Last Guardian and facilitate the experience on PlayStation 5.
