Best free calculator apps for android
Calculator (by Google)
This is your simplest and safest bet. Google offers a basic, but well-designed app that will handle basic math tasks, but not much else. It calculates in real time, so you don't even have to hit the equal button.
You can get some more complex functions by swiping from the right side, but it's still a pretty limited set. The only other important feature is that you can tap at the top of the screen to reveal a three-dot menu that lets you change decimals to fractions, and that's it. There is no story or charts.
It's totally free and has no ads, so it gets the job done.

Another good scientific calculator is the popular RealCalc. It is designed to look like the traditional portable scientific calculators you used in school.
RealCalc has all the standard scientific functions you will need. It also supports chronology, memories, unit conversions and constants. Binary, octal and hexadecimal calculations also work well.
The app offers two types of calculator, traditional and reverse Polish notation (RPN). When using the traditional type, be sure to place parentheses around the parts of the equation to preserve the calculation order. It's different from the other calculators listed above - you can't just type the equation as it appears.
You can also choose from a number of display styles and formats to customize the look of the app.
The free version offers many useful features that may be enough for your purposes. If you want more features, such as fractions, degrees / minutes / seconds, customizable conversions and constants, landscape mode and a 12-digit display, you can buy RealCalc Plus.
